New National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins recruited a former colleague to be his chief of staff.

Kathy Hudson now heads the Genetics Centre and Public Policy in Washington, DC, which she founded in 02 at Johns Hopkins. Molecular biologist was the policy director of Collins for part of his mandate as head of the National Institute for Human Genome Research at NIH.
