Knowing the signs of mental illness is important to get people the help they need. Here are some potential signs of a mental health problem in adults. Symptoms can vary from person to person. People with these indicators are not necessarily at risk of mental illness
- Difficulty dealing with problems and / or daily activities
- Changes in personality. out-of-character thoughts or behaviors
- Proof of hallucinations or delusions • extreme anxiety, despair, or lethargy
- significant changes in appetite and sleep patterns
- misuse / abuse of drugs or alcohol
- unjustified feelings of rage or aggressive behavior

mental illness. Some signs to watch for in children include:
- Inability to cope with disturbing thoughts
