You may have heard this phrase more than once; "Stand up straight, keep your shoulders back." Poor posture is often considered rude or inappropriate, but were those who tell us not to sag aware of the negative consequences slumped health? It is, good posture helps our body functioning properly.

When we SLOUCH, our spine looks unhealthy way. This can adversely affect circulation and can cause bones to deteriorate over time. Surprisingly, many life factors help or hurt our posture. for example, weak muscles, lack of support for the lower back, and even low self-esteem can have a negative impact. That said, it is never too late to improve your posture

Evaluate your posture at home with these simple steps:. keep in the back of your head against a wall and your heels about six inches from the wall your buttocks and shoulder blades must touch the wall. In this position, the gap between your lower back and the wall must be less than 2 inches. A greater difference can indicate poor posture.
